I had a private Slack discussion with X about removing the keyword search bar in Project S because it would always return 0 search results. We decided to remove it based on that chat.

But being in a private message, another developer, Y, did not get the memo.

Therefore they re-implemented it.

I should have had this conversation about removing the feature in public and kept them in the loop.

Lesson

• Keep everyone involved in the loop about what is happening.
• Avoid private conservations about decided development changes.
