For the Project C, I installed Jitsi video-conferencing on a server, taking up nearly a day, but the client software was broken on P's machine, P being the person who would lead the video sessions and without whom the software was useless.

What I should have done was found the Jitsi demo deploy (it existed) and asked P to try it first - i.e. I should have gotten buy in for a demo before doing expensive and time-consuming installs.
